Last 100 Nonfiction Books Peggy Read - Page 2

Why read nonfiction? Because it can be the gateway to knowledge a formal education often lacks, i.e., you can learn something. But more importantly because it's interesting and fun. Remember, truth is often stranger than fiction.
I would recommend most of the books below with the exception of:
14. Sing Backwards and Weep by Mark Lanegan - I chose the book because some reviews compared his writing to Bukowski. I am rolling my eyes at the comparison. I threw the book in the trash.
33. Whoever Fights Monsters by Robert Ressler - it's just a self-aggrandizing vanity trip with a few interesting facts thrown in.
55. Wait, What? by by James E. Ryan - It's not awful, just maybe google the original commencement address instead and save yourself some time.
