Movie Duos That Should Have Been or Become Trilogies

Movies that stopped at two, but would have been great if they'd have formed a trilogy. Some of these are impossible now due to age and deaths of the people involved, but perhaps one day, some might still be doable and even happen. I tried not to include any where a third film is being actively planned.
