10 Overrated Books

These are books I've read that to me didn't live up to all of the hype. They're not necessarily bad books, just ones I can't fathom out why so many people rate so highly. Below are my reasons why and in some cases, alternative better reads.
50 Shades: Entertaining enough for what it is, but doesn't show any understanding of BDSM and the inner goddess voice is so annoying. Better read: Crossfire trilogy
Matched: Nice concept, but dragged on too much and didn't deliver. Better read: Delirium
A Room with A View: It was just dull - very little going on.
The Lovely Bones: Great concept, but again, dull. After the first chapter or two, nothing else happens. The ending is ridiculous
The Handmaid's Tale: In fairness, this was a DNF for me. The writing was just too flowery and it slowed the plot down too much. Better read: Vox
A Spark of Light: I love Jodi Picoult and her writing style saved this a bit, but the backwards timeline took away any suspense. Better read: Any other Picoult book
