Overrated Suckfests

Books that some people love, some of which sold lots of copies, but that suck. That is to say they are really poorly written, insufferably trendy, moronic, sappy, infuriating, or unintentionally funny (final twenty pages of "The Horse Whisperer", I'm looking at you!). Some of my favorite authors are on this list, but these particular efforts just didn't even begin to cut it, in my view.
