Schlocko's 2018 Century of Books

I've read 100 books so far in 2018, mostly fiction published this year with the occasional break for historical research into 19th century radicalism. If anyone has written a better novel than "Transcription" by Kate Atkinson in 2018, I haven't read it. If anyone has written a worse novel than "Last Novel" by Bryan Smith, I haven't got the stomach to read it.
