Markd9528's Semester 2, 2019 Report Card - Page 2

Books I have read over the last 5 months. My usual jumble of books from many genres.
While the great majority of these books were enjoyable, my favourites were:
Silas Marner, Northanger Abbey, Age of Innocence, Washington Square, Matilda, Give Peas a Chance, The Tin Drum, Loving Sabotage, Talking it Over, Tirra Lirra By the River, Clouds, Scoop, Nickel Boys. However the movie of 'They Shoot Horses' was better than the book.
Why so many Ladybird books? Because, as described by their authors, "the large, clear script, the careful choice of words, the frequent repetition and the thoughtful matching of text with pictures all enable grown-ups to think they have taught themselves to cope."
