"I think we need a bigger boat"...or, at least in our case an expanded film noir list!...some of you noir buffs may have already happened perchance upon my list I published in 2021, 1000 Noir Films...that wonderful list would not have seen the light of day if not for some painstaking work on the part of Mr. Bill Georgaris to compile those films...those films were chosen as the best of 1842 films surveyed...so what you have here

*Note: While there may seem to be no rhyme or reason to the order in which these films were placed on the list, actually they are in alphabetical order by director...so we start with the films of Franklin Adreon ending with the ones of Fred Zinnemann
