The Encyclopedia of Heavy Metal - By Daniel Bukszpan. The book covers a cross section of rock and metal including many of it's sub genres.
There is a short paragraph or two for each band along with a discography (the Basis for the list). The book itself covers heavy metal bands along with bands that were important to the development of heavy metal but the bands themselves are not considered heavy metal, reading the book along side listening to the albums contained on the list would be benificial but not essential. There are a few new addtions as since the book was published quite a number of the bands have released new albums. There are already a number of new releases for 2020 these have also been included (where artwork is available).Now all that's left for you to do is crank up the volume to, er what's that number? oh yeah 11 Go on indulge yourselve who knows what your next favorite album will be.
