The Films of Curtis Harrington

Curtis Harrington (1926-2007) was a sort of prototypical David Lynch and a notable LGBT filmmaker. He was friends with James Whale and a major contributor to Gods and Monsters. His films did not readily click with audiences, and he was relegated to television work for much of his life. After a major retrospective in Video watchdog, which is how I discovered his work, he was given a retrospective at Anthology Film Archives by Amy Greenfield, and his memoir, Nice Guys Don't Work in Hollywood: The Adventures of an Aesthete in the Movie Business, was published posthumously in 2013.
