Wikipedia's Lists of Notable Films From the Classical and New Hollywood Eras - Page 3

Classical Hollywood cinema is a term used in film criticism to describe both a narrative and visual style of film-making which became characteristic of American cinema between the 1910s (rapidly after World War I) and the 1960s. New Hollywood, sometimes referred to as the American New Wave or the Hollywood Renaissance, refers to a movement in American film history from the mid-1960s to the early 1980s, when a new generation of young filmmakers came to prominence in the United States.
