Wikipedia's Lists of Notable Films From the Classical and New Hollywood Eras - Page 9

Classical Hollywood cinema is a term used in film criticism to describe both a narrative and visual style of film-making which became characteristic of American cinema between the 1910s (rapidly after World War I) and the 1960s. It eventually became the most powerful and pervasive style of film-making worldwide.
New Hollywood, sometimes referred to as the American New Wave or the Hollywood Renaissance, refers to a movement in American film history from the mid-1960s to the early 1980s, when a new generation of young filmmakers came to prominence in the United States.
