Wolverine: The Best There Is; Part 3 -- Origins and Revelations (2002-2011)

With the success of the first two X-men films at the turn of the millennium, Marvel was looking for ways to capitalize on this newfound interest in superheroes and turn it into comic sales. Naturally, as one of their biggest sellers in the previous decade, Wolverine was a perfect candidate. And just like the previous decade, Wolverine was squeezed for all he was worth, appearing not only in his own title and with the X-men, but also alongside the New Avengers, as well as many mini-series and one-shots. Most interesting of all, though, was a new focus being placed on exploring Wolverine's origins, likely inspired by Hugh Jackman's portrayal of the character.
