Cities and Sights Along the Platte River

The Platte River is a major tributary of the Missouri River, itself a tributary of the Mississippi River; from its farthest source via the North Platte River, it extends for over 1,050 miles from eastern Colorado and Wyoming through Nebraska, meeting the Missouri River just south of Omaha at that state's eastern border. This is a list of cities and attractions along the length of both the Platte River proper as well as its major tributaries, the North and South Platte Rivers: sites #1-13 are along the North Platte River; #14-24 are along the South Platte River; and #25-30 are along the Platte River itself, which begins where the North and South tributaries meet at North Platte, Nebraska.
