Cities and Sights Along the Tennessee River

The Tennessee River is, at 652 miles, the longest tributary of the Ohio River (itself a tributary of the Mississippi), and the 12th-longest in the United States, forming at the confluence of the Houston and French Broad Rivers in Knoxville, Tennessee, then looping through northern Alabama and the very northeast tip of Mississippi, before passing through western Tennessee and Kentucky, where it meets the Ohio River at Paducah. This is a list of cities and attractions along the length of the river, from east to west.
