School's Out: Summer Reading for the English Teacher

Our maverick English Teacher is officially done for the year, and has put together a reading list of 30 books he'd like to read this summer. He does not expect to get through them all, but hopes to make a dent. It is also possible that he may find something else that interests him instead. So, come September, he'll post what he actually read. Notice, too, that there is no Brit. Lit on this list. That would be too much like working.
