Our maverick English Teacher and genre enthusiast looks at 10 genres and sub-genres and lists 5 books in each category that he particularly likes and feels bear repeated reading. No author could have more than one book on the list, and mainstream "literary " fiction was excluded. The categories are:1) Spy fiction; 2) Detective Story; 3)Thriller; 4) Science Fiction; 5) Horror/Dark Fantasy; 6) Western; 7) Adventure; 8) Romance; 9) Ghost Story; 10) Roman Noir.
