The Groundwork to Become a Film Buff (Part One)

For those who wish to be a film buff, knowing a lot of movies is key to earning the distinction. This list series looks at what I feel are basic requirements in terms of titles and film directors that any film buff should know as part of their groundwork. Directors are limited to just three movies each across the entire list series, for the sake of diversity in the film's featured. Usually directors will feature on one list and not another. All lists will present 100 movies each and if you've seen at least 75% of them, then you're probably well on your way to being a film buff or are already there.
