Canadian Cuisine is difficult to define, because it has its roots in so many places and wildly different regions. It's safe to say that among the heaviest influences are its earliest cultures; Canada's Indigenous Peoples, the French, and the English. However, some of Canada's most surprising contributions to the culinary world are the result of the diversity of its immigrants, adapting familiar dishes from their cultural heritage with ingredients readily available to them in Canada.
