U.S. Route 34 is an east-west highway in the central United States, spanning 1,122 miles through 4 states from Granby, Colorado to Berwyn, Illinois. Through Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado, the highway, there known as Trail Ridge Road, reaches an elevation of 12,183 feet (3,713 meters), making it the highest paved road in the United States.
