Anthony Masters: Ten Best Science Fiction Films

Anthony Masters was a British novelist and YA writer, as well as a contributor to The Overlook Film Encyclopeda: Science Fiction, edited by Phil Hardy, The Overlook Press, 1995. His list appears on page 500 of that book. As a novelist, he values mood and atmosphere over plot, structure, and characterization,
and admits that many of his selections are flawed films but credits "fragments, full of sparks of originality, that makes me love them so much." Films are listed in order of preference.
