The Bibliophile's Best Books of Each Genre: Magical Realism

My next list in this series is on magical realism. For those who aren't big fans of fantasy or magic realism, which I must admit includes myself, you may want some clarity on magical realism as a genre. It's a genre where magical elements are woven into a realistic setting, treating the extraordinary as a natural part of everyday life. It blends the fantastical with the ordinary, creating a world where the surreal coexists with the real without question. Although not a favourite genre of mine, I have read a number of books in this list which are iconic and which I loved. So, I hope you get something out of this list. Enjoy...
