Foods to Eat If You Suffer From COPD - Page 3

Keep hydrated, especially by drinking herbal teas. Eat anti-inflammatory foods (please check my list "Foods That Can Prevent Inflammation). Take care of getting enough vitamin D by spending time in the sun and eating foods such as mushrooms and avocado. Prefer protein and healthy fats (omega 3 fatty acids) to carbs; since most foods that are high in protein are not recommendable for other reasons, you may want to try out protein powders. Another good protein source are nuts and seeds. You may eat pulse unless they cause you flatulence. Eat foods that are high in antioxidants like vitamin C (such as many types of fruit), vitamin E (such as nuts), beta carotene (such as carrots and lettuce), lycopene (such as tomatoes, watermelon, papaya and guava), and selenium (such as Brazil nuts and mushrooms) and focus on alcaline foods (please check my related list).
